Okay, we've been working on some things on M-L-Z, including how and where ads happen.  We'll probably be rolling out a new ad platform that works a bit more like Facebook.  One thing, ads will still be clearly marked.  I'm against ads that pose as regular content to suck you in.  Actually, the top and bottom ads will be very similar, and some new side ads may appear that anyone can sign up for.  Now, because anyone can sign up, they will be moderated.  We still require a certain sense of decency and have the right to reject any ad for any reason, however we'd like to streamline the process as much as possible.

Now on the site spam and various dipsticks.  We've moved our sites to a new hosting company that does NOT allow disposable e-mail address' to work.  This was deliberate.  99% of the scammers that sign up use these services (or mail servers in China, which we no longer allow as well) to gain access.  That is no longer possible.  At 1:30 this afternoon the gate fell, and the servers our sites are hosted on no longer will even talk to their mail servers, it's like they don't exist.  Our mail traffic dropped by 400% in just a few hours.  It's amazing, and this means we're not deleting spammers or having system resources wasted by these dipsticks. :D

This does mean you will not be able to get notifications or to sign up if you use these services.  We are legally not allowed to share your information with other companies, and we only send you mail you ask for, either notifications or the tiny bit of mail to set up your account.

We are also getting ready for a site wide contest, I can't say much but there will be a special prize for the person that refers the most users.  We're waiting for the programming egg heads to get everything ready, and we'll be announcing it.
A few notes about M-L-Z.   We want to let you know where we are coming from.  We use as little automation as we can, so a real human checks out all issues with the site.  Unlike a certain site, we do not block first and ask questions later, we try to work with our friends who visit.

We do not like spammers, and take an active role in limiting spam.  If you believe you have found spam on M-L-Z, we'll look into it.  We do NOT however just blindly start putting restrictions on users because of a simple spam complaint.  In fact, if people turn in non spam as spam too much, we may limit their accounts, as this constitutes bullying.  We like bullying even less then spam.

Bullying.  If you are bullying people, you will be warned, then suspended.  There is no need for that kind of behaviour ANYWHERE.  In some cases we may turn bullying over to law enforcement.  Why?  Well because it's the right thing to do.  We believe that everyone is responsible to stop bullying.

Advertising.  While you may post anything you like that is valid according to our terms of service, we ask that if your going to advertise a business here, you purchase a ad.  Ads are cheap,, a basic banner ad is only $10 per month.  If you have an ad, you may promote your business on this site in any way that is not spammy.  What's spammy?  Sending information about your site to non-friends, or posting non content blogs that are just ads.  The only way to reach these people safely is an ad account.  If you have an ad account, you may post a content article and put links to your external site in said blog.  As an example, I run Foxy's Place Hobbies, we sell R/C Cars.  If I write a how-to article on say painting R/C Car Bodies, I could put links to bodies, tools, paints, etc that are on Foxy's Place, as long as I had bona-fide content about how to paint those bodies.  Ads are $10 per month, and are done on a PayPal subscription.  You can cancel any time and not be billed further.

Last, you have rights, you have the right to be treated fairly, you have the right to express your opinion, you have the right to ownership of your own content, you have the right to a review of any judgment we make in regards to your account.  You also have the right to make suggestions and comments.  We do listen, and while we will not make every change suggested, we will give it good thought.  When we choose to make a change that you suggest, we'll try and give you credit (unless you ask us not to.)

M-L-Z was started because other social networks are either overrun with spam, or have taken draconian measures against their users with no explanation or appeal.
